It's the return of Chef Char to the Muskegon Channel!! After a super busy Summer filled with appearances at festivals and of course her TV schedule and classes for all ages at Kitchen 242 in the Muskegon Farmers Market, Char is back on the Muskegon Channel just in time for a Halloween treat that will delight all the little ghosts and goblins out there and....fill them up before they head out trick or treating.
This time it's a spin on the classic staple of meatloaf. We're going for the blood, gore and creep factor tho... this time (cue the creepy horror music.....) IT'S FEETLOAF!
Yes, learn how to make a delicious meatloaf that is shaped like a rotting monster foot complete with blood, tendons and toe nails! We're off to Kitchen 242 as Chef Char whips up something fun for a dinner surprise!

A fun and spooky dinner for Halloween from Chef Char Morse
2 pounds ground beef
3/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 Tablespoons tamari or soy sauce
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 cloves or 2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons minced horseradish
1 Tablespoon parsley flakes
1 cup tomato sauce or ketchup
1 Tablespoon spicy mustard
1 pound thick-sliced bacon
1 large onion
1 cup ketchup
1 soup bone
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, black pepper, garlic, horseradish, parsley flakes, tomato paste and mustard. Mix until all ingredients are incorporated. Shape ¾ of the meat mixture into a large loaf and place in the center of a sheet pan. Make 5 different-sized meatballs for the toes. Add the soup bone to the back of the loaf. Garnish and complete the feet loaf by wrapping several pieces of bacon around the soup bone. Prepare the garnish onion by removing onion skin and cutting onion in half. Cut one half of the onion into half again and use the two quarters as “toenails” on the meatballs in front. Place in the oven for 30 minutes. Using ketchup, coat the foot with ketchup and place back in the oven for another 10-15 minutes.
Serve with a mischievous and evil grin!
