We were incredibly honored last year to have been given the chance to show the world one of Muskegon's biggest and best annual events.

It's 35 years strong this year and the demand to get a ticket is so high that all of the tickets sell out in a matter of hours and if you don't get them all there is left is to hear the stories from your friends and family who did.  Of course, we're talking about the Mona Shores Choirs Singing Christmas Tree and we're very lucky to be able to being it to you again this year, live as it happens December 7th at 7pm on The MuskegonChannel.com !  It will also be simulcast locally on Muskegon Comcast Channel 96 (915 / 1088).tree 35 croppedFollow the Singing Tree on Facebook

You'll be able to tune in and see the stream in beautiful high definition from your computer or any smart device.  You'll be able to share the link with your family and friends anywhere and even though you might not have gotten a ticket, your holiday season will be kicked off in style with the incredible talents of the kids at Mona Shores under the direction of Shawn Lawton and the Orchestra with Kelly DeRose.

Some of the things we found last year were that as the choir and orchestra rehearsed, so did we.  Nightly, the "tapes" went to the directors to review what went right and wrong and what could be tweaked a little here and there.  We also saw how so many dedicated teams coming together to promote the hard work of the kids along with the dedication of the school and the staff of the theater all make it happen.

We had about 3 days to get the word out about the live stream last year, and had a worldwide audience.  This year, we're giving you a months notice to make plans to enjoy the show how you like!  Gather some friends for a watch party, make it a special night for family just make it about what we are...a celebration of the dedication and hard work of some really amazing young people.

I met up with Shawn Lawton who's the director of the show as well as a couple of the seniors in the tree this year.  Sebastian Barnett and Sophie Recknagel joined us to talk about the tree, take a listen!

Save the date!  It's an honor and priviledge for us to be able to bring you the Mona Shores Singing Christmas Tree!  Spread the word far and wide to help show the world just what we're made of here in Muskegon.  It's an unmatched holiday tradition 35 years strong and we're proud to bring it to you once again with the Mona Shores Choir Association and Mona Shores Schools.
