"Life is uncertain. Eat dessert first." Who else can relate to this quote? For those that know me, know that I have a sweet tooth. When a friend of mine tagged me in a social media post by Yummy Delights LLC, I knew I had to pay them a visit. The post featured one of their popular desserts, which was a fruity pebble covered New York style cheesecake slice. Yum!
I was able to sit down with Mari Romero, owner of Yummy Delights LLC, to talk about her love of baking, "I have always been a baker. Growing up, I would be the one in the family to bake cakes and brownies for everyone's birthday. I always knew that baking is something that I wanted to do". All of her creations are homemade, and are made with Mari's special recipes that she has tailored and tweaked to her liking. You can tell that Mari is very passionate about baking and providing an amazing experience for her customers. The level of detail and work that Mari puts into decorating each individual item is remarkable.

Mari and her husband brought out an assortment of homemade goodies ranging from Cheesecake Delights, Strawberry Crunch covered New York style cheesecake, dipped Strawberries, Tres Leches Cake, and decadent brownies, covered in M&Ms, Oreos, and white chocolate chips. Thanks to local artist, Dan Parker, even the outside of the building represents some of Mari's work. The building is painted in bright colors, and is decorated with colorful sprinkles, cupcakes, and chocolate dipped strawberries.
In May 2020, Mari opened Yummy Delights LLC, during the height of the COVID pandemic. Mari and her family are so grateful for the community's support. Please continue to support local, and find ways to give back to your community as we try to navigate during these uncertain times together. Although one thing is certain, there is always room for dessert.
