Muskegon is in for a very special afternoon of music at St. Frances de Sales Church on April 23rd as Dr. Calvin Taylor will be coming to perform in their incredible space.  His mastery of the piano and organ is a world renown presence and to bring him to Muskegon to share his talents as well as spirit, it's a chance that you don't want to miss.

From his website - "Calvin Taylor, music publisher, concert performer, and recording artist, received the Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Master of Music degree from The University of Michigan, Diploma from the Grove School of Music, and the Doctor of Musical Arts Degree from the University of Kentucky. He has toured throughout the world, playing in North and South America, Europe, the Far East, and most recently Ukraine and Russia. As arranger and composer, his music has been heard and enjoyed by untold thousands."

In speaking to Dr. Taylor, you find a humble man who's passion for the experience of music and the way it brings people of all backgrounds together is a lesson in humanity that those lacking his incredible reach around the world wouldn't otherwise be able to understand.  The discipline he brings to the craft as well is refined to a point that's not often found in a world of musicians today who's goal is instant YouTube recognition or a viral hit on TicTok.  A performer, writer and arranger his music brings a little respite to the "insanity sweeping our world" and will harken you back to an era when people stood in awe of what one man, and one instrument could do to create sound and emotion.

In the 3p performance at St. Francis you can expect to hear a wide variety of music.  Dr. Taylor talks about it in our chat and there's a little something for everyone from spiritual favorites to patriotic anthems that will have you pumped up and feeling great.  It's a show not to be missed and when over, there will be a chance to purchase Dr. Taylors recordings.  There's no posted ticket price, but there will be a collection taken to help support the cost of the performance, so please give generously.  You can find out more by visiting the FACEBOOK EVENT PAGE

It's an honor to speak to such a gifted and well travelled gentlemen who's bringing us the gift of his time and talent on April 23rd.  Make sure you save the date and enjoy the show.
