This is a very special episode of Dog Blessed with Jodi. Jodi welcomes some kids and encourages you to do the same for this edition as they will be discussing some ideas about how kids and pets interact, learn and grow together. Dog Blessed is brought to you by Clock Timeless Pets and Must Love Dogs pet boutique in Grand Haven.

A child getting a pet is an amazing way to begin to teach them what life is all about. From the idea of commitment to care and the dedication it takes to handle a dependent to the proper ways to train and manage a pet, there are a lot of valuable life lessons afforded us by pets. This is also a great way to maybe break some of the generational ideas that we may have learned about the proper way to help a pet develop and grow. Past generations have combined both a positive and negative based learning experience for a pet, however, Jodi leans WAY more toward the positive reinforcement side of things and even if that takes some more patience than you think you have, in the long run it’s an investment into the relationship of you and your pet.

Jodi also shares some tips with the kids about things you might now think about when it comes to pet care. Water being one of them and microbial creepy crawleys that can be in there. Sure, the kids don’t put microbes and pets together, but nor do most adults and since she’s the pet pro, she’s bringing it up to the youngin’s now so it will stick with them for a long time to come.  This is an exceptional episode and our three young guest stars should get a nice round of applause for their participation and eager learning approach to helping pets and people live their best lives together.
