Hey, hey, it’s spooky season! Time for all things October; Hot cider and donuts, pumpkin-carving, haunted houses, trick-or-treating, and snuggling up to watch scary movies. Maybe even indulge in some pumpkin spice or candy corn if you’re so inclined (love ‘em or hate ‘em, I think they’re here to stay for a while).
We have had quite an October so far. It has brought us a magnificent annular solar eclipse called the Ring of Fire as well as a Friday the 13th. This particular type of eclipse will not happen again until 2046. To top it off, eclipse happened at exactly 21 degrees of Libra, initiating powerful new beginnings in the birth charts of every zodiac sign. With this all happening in the 12th house, it has the potential for bringing attention to the need for greater understanding, compassion and love of mankind as well as heightening the desire for human connections. Its passage through the 12th house also brings emphasis on self-reflection and summing up the previous eleven months, bringing a new level of self-awareness. As for Friday the 13th, while it’s hard to figure out exactly when it began being regarded as unlucky, at one point in time it was actually considered a harbinger of good luck, so I hope yours was great.
The moon’s passage into Scorpio may have a lot of us feeling a little intense for a few days. In fact, superficial things just won’t cut it right now. There is an urge to get to the bottom of things and find out the truth. It may also be a great time for getting rid of our fears and old limiting habits.
ARIES: You may feel like you’ve been stopped in your tracks for the next few days so it may not be a good time for going ahead with large-scale projects, but rather for finishing small tasks.
TAURUS: Feelings of self-worth may come up today and you may feel rather emotional. While it’s important to say what’s on your mind; just remember to reflect before you speak.
GEMINI: You may find yourself beginning a new art project or redecorating your home. It’s also a great time to kick back and get comfy in homey surroundings.
CANCER: This transit may have the effect of giving your words added power, so you should beware of being too "sharp" or critical with friends or family at this time.
LEO: Your mental powers and dexterity are good right now, and your ability to express ideas increased. This is a great time for communication and connecting with others.
VIRGO: There can be great progress toward your goals during this time as you are very focused on wanting to get things done. Your willpower may also be quite strong.
LIBRA: Any form of communication is important to you right now. You may enjoy spending more time with family and place great emphasis on your home environment.
SCORPIO: Love and romance will be given an extra boost right now. It is a good time to get together with a significant other and connect with them on a soul-to-soul level.
SAGITTARIUS: Positive feelings come up in regard to important relationships over the next few days. It is also possible that you will positively re-evaluate your life's goals during this time.
CAPRICORN: Your written communication may seem to slow down for some time, but this has the benefit of increasing your focus, and you may wind up accomplishing more.
AQUARIUS: Your sense of spirituality and ideals come into focus during this time. This has the effect of bringing new awareness in the coming weeks if you are open to it.
PISCES: This is a period of time when taking action is better than sitting back and waiting for things to happen. Try not to be too hasty, though, as sometimes the "wait and see" game is best in the long run.
