It's been some time since Jodi's granddog Cash made his way to the rainbow bridge.  Jodi did a little segment on him back in the summer, but now she's feeling more comfortable about a discussion about the breed and all they bring to the relationship when they find their human.

The first thing that is very clear is that if you're getting a lab, you're getting a bundle of energy.  It seems to especially stand out when it comes to older pet owners, maybe on their second lab and the forgetfulness we all have when it comes to "the early years" of any new critter in our lives.  Yes, even the human ones cause quite a bit of disruption when they first show up.  This kind of energy is from us.  The breeding of labs to be work and hunting dogs brought this energy.  In time, like all of us too, it slows down but be ready for the first shot.  The important piece is, as always to know your breed.  If you are planning on a lab, you better have an active lifestyle yourself, because you're gonna need it.

Jodi also updates you on some safety tips for the season with your pets and she's got and update on her healthy pet cookie recipe from a week or so ago that she's sharing to help green the batter up a little better, and yes, Olaf is sure to take note when this part of the segment begins.
