We're back on a Sunday and that means a super chill start with some Tranquil Waves Yoga With Caitlin Anderson.  This is a great way to clear your mind, set a relaxed pace for the day and the week and maybe even try something out new in the comfort of your own home before you take it to the next level.  Super cool too that your helping Caitlin as she's working toward her goal of opening her own yoga studio some day here in town where the masses will attend and grab some collective Zen while practicing this ancient discipline.

 

This week, it's a squat.  You knew it would come up right?  Not only that, but it's a Yogi Squat........so, in case there's a giggle from the back, we got that out of the way.  :)  After all, this is supposed to be as much fun as it is a new experience and overall benefit for you.  Here's a little more detail for ya.  Malasana, or Garland Pose, is a yogi’s squat. In it you utilize the complete range of motion of the legs by bending the knees fully until the pelvis is resting at the back of the heels.  See, it's practical and applicable and Caitlin is going to be your guide on how to begin this practice.

Like any physical endeavor, make sure you consult a physician first to assure that you're ok to participate.  Plenty of water in your diet too!  Here comes Episode 7 of Tranquil Waves Yoga on the Muskegon Channel.
