There's another one of those new words!  Here you thought that we'd only be doing some body moves and stretching stuff on Tranquil Waves Yoga with Caitlin Anderson.  Nope!  Not here on the Muskegon Channel!  You're getting the whole immersive experience lingo and all so that when you have had your samples here and things get back to "normal" and you're thinking about being part of a yoga experience in person, you'll walk right in ready to go!  We're super smart like that!

The Practice of Vipassana - is more simply put "Mindfulness".  Tara Brach PhD, has written a book called "Radical Acceptance - Embracing Your Life With the Heart of a Buddha" and in it she describes this mindfulness as something to help you "see clearly" or to gain "insight".  You're going to want to find a sitting position that allows you to remain alert, and then begin to breathe a little.  Close your eyes, relax your hands and then start to feel around your body internally and see about anything else that might be tense.  Work to relax that.  Maybe a jaw clinched?  How about your neck or back?  We're going to try and give them all a break.

If you get the idea that this is going to be a little more mind bending than body bending, you are 100% correct!  Let's face some truths.  It's one year into the pandemic we're all enduring and we are all ready for a break.  Things are easing up but untangling all we've heard and seen over that year isn't going to be an overnight process and adding some tools to the chest that can help us all cope and take the pressure can't hurt!  So, since it's a nice and quiet Sunday morning, find yourself a little space and follow along as Caitlin teaches us all a little Vipassana on the Muskegon Channel.

(Whispering) We hope that set the tone for ya.  One of the key ideas behind bringing you Caitlin weekly is not only to give her a little exposure for her growing business, but to give all of us some new ways to cope.  It's been 100 years since we've dealt with something like this and the toll has been insurmountable to say the least.  We've done our very best to keep you informed.  Our best to keep you in shape and entertained and to find someone too who can bring the beginnings of healing on another level.  We all win.  Caitlin is available for one on on sessions through digital connections now.  She's accepting new clients and she's also working toward that studio some day, so to help her along's a win for all.  You can visit her site by clicking below.
