Here comes the sun!  Well, half of it anyway!  Caitlin Anderson is here with a new yoga sequence for you this week on Tranquil Waves Yoga on the Muskegon Channel!  A half sun salutation is the part of the full sequence that is done at the front of your mat before you step or jump back. It is often used as a warm-up for the longer sequence and is a good way to start a home practice session.  It's a calming and relaxing way to begin your week with a a little care for your mind and body!  Caitlin loves to share the discipline with all of us and from the incredibly steady numbers she sees weekly here, we're pretty happy to say, her passion is catching on!

Here's a little something too that we didn't really plan on but is remarkably cool.  Like any profession, Yoga takes required teaching hours to maintain registration and work toward higher levels of advancement and her work here and your viewing of it counts toward her long term goals.  It makes all of us at the Muskegon Channel overly proud to help build those around us up.  We see media platforms got to all kinds of uses in todays days and age.  We've had opportunities to go down many different roads ourselves but we always stuck with what matters.  Giving our local folks a chance to shine and a place to develop and grow if they want.  Caitlin's Yoga, Becky's Fit and Healthy, Chef Lakisha, Kolton Woods...there will come a day when we say "we knew them when" and for that we're so thankful to Caitlin and everyone for being a part.

So, let's get down to it, this serene Sunday morning.  It's Episode 13 of Tranquil Waves Yoga on the Muskegon Channel with Caitlin Anderson.

Feeling the Zen?  Go a little further!  Join Caitlin on her website for more, or keep coming back here to master one area of what she offers weekly.  It's more than understandable to everyone that Yoga is fairly "new" to Muskegon.  It's an anicent dicipline and in as much as we are really chugging along here in Muskegon, there are some areas like this where others are ahead of us.  Use Caitlin's lessons here or on her site so the next time you find yourself on a cruise or at a resort, you'll bypass the mimosas for a hour and go show off your Skitown Yoga prowess.
