A couple of weeks ago, we spent our weekly feature with Attorney Shon Cook talking about compassion fatigue which we're all learning a lot more about with the pandemic and all, but attorney's have some experience in due to the nature of their work. Being in the middle of a long lasting problem is fairly new to all of us, but attorney's deal with that much more regularly and Shon sharing her experiences resonated in a big way with her viewers.

Well, as it often happens, ideas breed ideas and Shon wanted to rewind a little and revisit the idea with a different twist.  Litigation fatigue.  Litigation fatigue is an issue that the people involved in the court system where the people involved working for the best resolution to the case, simply become exhausted with the process.  Hey, remember that they are people too and that it's a difficult and intricate process to help people sort out their differences by what the law says and that having to repeat things over and over can be a lesson in frustration for even the highest degreed professionals in any situation.  As you'll hear Shon mention in this weeks episode, stop and think about the amount of work delivered to a judge a day.  Then, stop and think about the amount of work it took to get that work to the judge.  By the time it's reached the judges bench, it's been through lawyers, referees, mediators and more.  It can be an enormous case load day after day and to read, understand decide and then pass a judgement on all of it, immense amount of work.

Shon helps break down the process and talks about how the people in the process manage and deal with it.  Take a listen, this is some really good behind the scenes information on the workings of the courts and toward the end, something new coming to Saturday's with Shon.  Take a listen.

A little more human side to the story this week when it comes to the legal world.  So much is involved from legalities to emotion to the human factor, it's pretty easy to see why fatigue can be a factor.  That'd why Shon offers such comprehensive services to help you get the best outcome every time.  From mediation to litigation working to help clients achieve the best outcome is the priority and Shon and her team deliver.  As you heard too, Shon wants to hear from you.  Do you have a general legal question or topic you'd like addressed?  If you do, This email address is being protected from spambots.
