Welcome to a new start to a new week and the endless possibilities offered. Fit and Healthy With Becky is designed for anyone from advanced to beginner to jump right in and be a part of a workout that can be custom tailored to where you are on the fitness journey. Trinity Health brings you the show week in and week out because the idea behind the sponsorship is to keep you fit and healthy enough that you don't need to visit. Great approach huh? Put health first!
This week, we continue our summer tour at the Milwaukee Clipper berthed in Muskegon. It's an even bigger treat too. I'll bet the bank that you will find NO WHERE else on planet earth that can bring you a program from the ornate and beautiful interior of a ship that was built before the Titanic and sits today as a historical preserve as to what it was like to tour the Great Lakes in a bygone era. We are featuring the Clipper over a few weeks in celebration of the 100th birthday of the Captain Bob Priefer who is still just as sharp, witty and clever as ever and is equally a treasure to our community as the ship he once helmed. Bob too is one of Muskegon's biggest success stories as he began his life on the ship as a "Pearl Diver" (dishwasher) and retired as the Captain. We're proud of the heritage and the man.
You'll need nothing more than what the Good Lord gave you this week. Body weight only for the work out. Remember, do it 3 times though for the full impact. Drink plenty of water. No, really....even if you're not exercising....it's hot out. Warm up, stretch out and remember to ask a Dr. before you begin this or any other workout program. Fit and Healthy episode 242, brought to you by Trinity Health is on the Muskegon Channel.
Boom!! Nice backdrop too huh? We are so blessed to have such remarkable things to see and do in Muskegon and the Milwaukee Clipper being here and open for tours Thursday through Sunday is a great reason to plan a visit or if you're right here in town, take the kids down to see what it once was to be a part of the incredible beauty of first class travel way back when.
