5K?  10K?  Half Marathon?  Community Walk?  The options are many and the involvement is coming from near and far for the Trinity Health Seaway Run on June 24th at Heritage Landing in Muskegon.

Race director Bryan Lambert and John Frawley invited me to the Brightway Insurance Agency in Roosevelt Park to talk about this years event and how things are shaping up, and they are shaping up well! From the uptick in registered runner so far to the sponsors returning or coming on for the first time, the level of the Seaway run and the overall activity of Muskegon is at an all time high.  We're somewhere in the ball park of 1500 people registered to participate at this point, and with a week to go and a weather forecast of just some clouds and about 80 degrees later in the day, it's going to be a perfect morning for the run.

While it's an attraction for those who run, it's a win for the entire area as this event brings people in from all over the region and country to run the course along the lake and enjoy the surroundings of our community.  Hotels, restaurants and any other hospitality based or essential services are all there and if they are not directly benefitted by this event, the level of awareness that comes to Muskegon by the attendees will get them to return and enjoy the amenities we're all working on so very hard.

If you are a runner or not, the place to be Saturday morning is Heritage Landing.  Do you have time to VOLUENTEER TO HELP AT THE EVENT?  Please do!  Be a course marshal or maybe help with set up or tear down.  Do you have a need for some fresh air and a chance to cheer?  There will be 1500 or more reasons to cheer crossing a finish line!  You can be on hand to help answer questions for visitors or just hang out, enjoy the music and the company of friends and neighbors.  Want to run?  CLICK HERE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 2023 TRINITY HEALTH SEAWAY RUN

Stay tuned tomorrow too, we've got an amazing inspiring story coming up for you about a team participating in the Trinity Health Seaway Run this year.
