Monday has once again come upon us!!  Becky is here with her weekly workout brought to you by Trinity Health.  We are at her home studio and we're focusing on your upper body this week with a little resistance added.  If you have got 5, 8 or 10 pound dumbbells, grab them and let's get to it.

Your upper body strength matters. Think of all you do that requires your arms. It's pretty much everything.  Keeping your upper body strong is essential to your health in a lot of ways.  It's important for your posture, which over time will need to be strong to prevent imbalances as we all age.  It's also essential to keep your upper body strong.  Upper body strength can help reduce the risk of injury, especially when reaching or lifting things. For example, without enough strength or range of motion, you might tear a muscle or rotator cuff, or develop shoulder tendinitis while hanging curtains or putting dishes away.  Not to mention, with summer here, you want those arms to be well toned to show off the tan!

Remember, it's essential to warm up and stretch out.  Drink plenty of water and always consult your physician before you begin this or any other workout program.

Becky wants you to know that there's room for you at her private studio!  She's got some time on her hands to welcome new individuals or small groups to work out!!  It's a great location in Norton Shores and you'll feel right at home while Becky customizes you a work out and if you wish, a meal plan to go along with it to optimize your nutritional balance.  Call Becky at 231-557-9548 to ask about meeting up and learning more!

Also, did you know??  We have Yoga back!  Please visit our new site, Muskegon, Better and see Mindful Movements Yoga with Swenja Tanner!  It's another awesome way to balance out life and add in a little self care while you're at it.
