One of Muskegon's best annual events is coming up to celebrate it's 14th year! Mercy Health is proud to announce its 2018 THE RIDE... Taking place on Saturday, March 10th inside the Lakes Mall located on Harvey Street in Muskegon.THE RIDE takes place inside the Lakes Mall.... Featuring hundreds of stationary bikes set up for volunteer riding teams. The race starts promptly at 12 noon and goes until 4. Each team is made up of 8 team members....that can be aged anywhere from 8 to 80 years of age...and of any fitness level. Each team member will have a 25 minute turn on their designated bike.... And each teams goal is to reach the highest amount of miles peddled within the 4 hour race time-span.Not only are the teams racing for high miles, but they are also competing for the team with the most Spirit, the Best Costumed Team, the most amount of donation funds raised and so much more! Speaking of donated funds... All the money raised at this fun event go directly to funding the important, life saving works of the Mercy H.E.A.R.T. Center Rehabilitation programs as well as the High School Student Heart Screening program.... Also these donations will help fund other important services that will be offered at the new Mercy Health Center coming in 2019.I recently sat down with THE RIDEs Event Coordinator, Amber Wallace....
