Cue Chef Char Morse at Kitchen 242 at the Muskegon Farmer’s Market. Char has you covered with one of several Instant Pot cooking classes planned for the new year, with the first being held January 26th.They’re a convenient tool in the kitchen, but Instant Pots can be intimidating to some people. Maybe you’ve mastered some key meals, but are looking for new ideas. Char shows Lauren Stanton how to make a delicious breakfast recipe we’ve included below. In the class, you’ll also learn how to make several other recipes. Char says one of her favorite things to cook in an Instant Pot are RIBS! If you'd like to know more about Chef Char's classes or other events there, click on their logo below to visit their site and learn more!Cinnamon Apple Steel Cut Oats in the InstantPot with Chef CharIngredients1 cup steel cut oats2 cups milk1 cup water¼ cup dried fruit (tart cherries, cranberries, raisins, apricots – your choice)3 large apples, cored, peeled and chopped2 Tablespoons honey or maple syrup or brown sugar (your choice)1 tsp vanilla1 ½ tsp cinnamon½ tsp nutmegPinch of salt (optional)DirectionsAdd all ingredients to the metal bowl of any electric pressure cooker and stir. Set the pressure cooker to cook on high pressure for 4 minutes. On the InstantPot Duo, use the “Multigrain” setting and adjust time to four minutes. Wait about two minutes before releasing pressure.Garnish with additional milk, sweetener of choice and nuts for a hearty breakfast.
