The Aquastar and The LST 393 at The Mart Dock - Muskegon's Treasured Maritime Icons

Muskegon Metro Area
I recently sat down with one of Muskegon's favorite people...Max McKee, proud owner - operator of Mart Dock located on Downtown Muskegon's beautiful waterfront.    Not only is Mart Dock a huge part of Muskegon's history as the largest indoor and outdoor marine vessel and land vehicle storage facility.... But it is also the proud home of some Muskegon's most cherished, historic vessels that all of our community can enjoy year after year. aquastar leadVisit Aquastar Online

Max and his brother Patrick McKee recently purchased the much beloved Port City Princess cruise ship....  They renamed her the AQUASTAR.  Max and Patrick have also been very busy renovating her interior, as well as her exterior....giving the vessel a complete beauty makeover.  It's very exciting to here all of the fun plans they have in store for the AQUASTAR...   In the Spring the AQUASTAR will be ready for many fun cruises...   Many of which will be open to the public to purchase tickets....   And also the AQUASTAR is available for private parties, weddings, reunions and much more!

The other amazing vessel that can't be overlooked as you drive through Downtown Muskegon's is the historic World War II USS LST 393.   This beautiful restored vessel proudly served our country as part of the D - Day battle 75 years ago.   It now serves as one of Muskegon's most cherished and respected land marks....   From April through September each year the LST is open for public tours....as she is also a full WWII historical landmark and museum....but also an incredible place to hold parties, fundraisers, movies on the upper deck, historical reenactments and much more!  This coming June 1st, 2019 the LST will be the sight for the huge 75th anniversary of the D - Day battle reenactment celebration.

So many wonderful ways to celebrate our beautiful Muskegon's waterfront with the help of all the hard work and dedication from our friends at Mart Dock.    Thanks again to our friend Max McKee for taking time to sit down with me.   Please, I encourage everyone to click on any of the links posted below to find out more information.... We'll see you on the water!
