It’s our weekly update with Kathy Moore, Director of Public Health Muskegon County on the COVID situation here and how things are going. The numbers are up, but signs point to a much lower “surge” this time than we’ve seen in the past since all of this began in March of 2020. We talk about the numbers from the CDC with the data provided and how much work must go into accumulation of this data. Is COVID “just another strain of the flu”? Kathy answers that. Hospitalization rates. How are boosters going? We talk about patients that are transferred during treatment and how schools are doing remarkably well and clear the air about some things concerning the schools and how to best understand an “outbreak” over a “quarantine” within the school setting.
