In the video Mercy Health Muskegon President Gary Allore shared details regarding extended wait times in the hospital's Emergency Department, as well as addressing public interest with the demolition of parts of the former Hackley Hospital and their future plans with Muskegon Public School and Hackley Community Care on site. Dr. Justin Grill spoke about current COVID-19 numbers for Muskegon County and vicinity, he indicated that almost all of the current ICU patients are the un-vaccinated. He also addressed citizens' concerns of staff shortage,  and how Mercy medical staff voted independently to require vaccination. Dr. Karissa Tryska encourages pregnant women and others to be vaccinated. Dr. Kristen Woods encourages people to visit their primary doctors regularly for preventative measures, which is more cost effective while potentially lessens the need for urgent care. She explains upper respiratory illnesses can now be treated at primary care offices and great progress is made on adding primary care offices along the lake shore area since January 2021.
