It’s our weekly update on COVID 19 with Public Health - Muskegon County Director Kathy Moore for February 16th.
We begin with a huge sigh of relief as the numbers continue to go down across the county, state and country, which turns the focus more on personal responsibility for safety measures and preventative layering. Some discussion for history’s sake about past infectious diseases and how society has reacted at the beginning of them through now. We move on to this week’s charts which shows in detail the decline locally and just how fast the “real danger” is dropping and that the overall need for “high alert” is becoming less of a concern. Any thoughts on when we could see the next “spike”…the hypothesis is remarkably comforting. We talk about the latest guidance on those who do test positive and what happens at work if you do have to stay home for 5 days. Finally, we should be hearing from the State of Michigan VERY soon about the next route for all of us.
