It was a big night at Parties in the Park this past Friday.  It was announced that the Muskegon Humane Society was acquiring the Pay it Forward Animal Outreach to help consolidate efforts to take care of the animals that they shelter and care for along with the pets that are seen by Dr. Sandi already.  It's an amazing coming together for the benefit of those pets in town who's owners might have a temporary problem with the costs of veterinarian care or if they live with income constraints that prevent them from taking care of their forever friend.

We hinted around earlier this week that an announcement was coming.  One of the cool things about having more than one angle on a story like we can is multi layered coverage.  Tease it, tell it then follow up a short while after.  When it's great news like this it's a no brainer.

One thing to think about....the level of commitment being shown here in our community.  It might not be an everyday thing to stop and think about, we've perfected taking care of our own right down to the furry creatures we call pets.  It's resilience, it's resourcefulness and it's resolve.  No community anywhere is better at it.

We take you now to Jodi and Alexis Robertson at the Muskegon Human Society for the 4-1-1 on the project.

On to brighter days for people and pets. Can you help? There's a match happening from the Bissel Pet Foundation up to $50,000 so maybe a little donation that will get doubled?  CLICK HERE to go directly to the page that you can make a contribution to help.  We'll be back next week with more incredible ways for your and your dog to live your best lives together.  Dog Blessed is brought to you by The CBD Store of Michigan, Clock's Timeless Pets and Must Love Dogs Boutique in Grand Haven.
