Friday Sept 9th was a day of action in Muskegon and the surrounding areas. The crowd gathered bright and early at the end of Clay Avenue for a pancake breakfast and some warm up activities from our very own Becky Biesada at the Muskegon Channel and we were off to the 2022 Day of Caring with the United Way of the Lakeshore and the community partners that pitched in to get a lot of work done around the area.
Parks were worked on, homes cleaned up, trees planted and camps maintained. It's a day of getting dirty and taking care of friends and neighbors who need the hand. It's also one of the days where Muskegon shows the side of itself which it does best. We circle the wagons and take care of one another.
Our video team of Dave and Cailey Loring hit the streets with the United Way and the volunteers who made it happen. When the United Way goes to work, our entire community benefits.
The Day of Caring is also the kick off of the annual United Way Campaign Kick Off, so if they come to visit your place of employment, take a few minutes to hear the presentation and learn how you can help the work of the United Way of the Lakeshore with a contribution of time, treasure or talent. Every bit helps, and everyone helps....and at the end of a video like this, we can see fist hand that a community Living United.....that's where we want to be.
