According to the July 1st, 2016 U.S. Census Bureau Muskegon MI. had a population of 173,408 people 15.9% of which were 65 years of age and over. This means that you should personally know at least one of those people. Today I was able to talk to Heather from AgeWell services of West Michigan.

AgeWell Services of West Michigan provides meals and health and wellness opportunities to seniors in Muskegon, Oceana and Ottawa Counties. Like I said before I was able to talk with Heather about one of the Events that they are hosting at Bella Maria's called Heels for Meals. This is a fun way for you to get out of the house and help out raise money to help provide meals to our older community members that may be unable to make it for themselves.

This is the 5th annual event and the second year being held at Bella Maria's. Tickets are just $45 a person and include a plated meal provided by Bella Maria's and a chance to win the door Prize. These tickets for this event are going fast so if you would like to attend you need to contact Heather at (231) 733-8636 or click on the photo to the right to email Heather.  One of the main events are going to be the heels hence the name. This will give you the chance to get crazy with your creative side and show us what you’ve got. There is going to be multiple categories for you to be in so don’t hold back, you may even win a prize. Being creative not your thing, you can join in on one or all of the other things available some of which include tasty signature cocktails, hand painted wine and martini glasses ($20) a delicious dessert bar, auctions and a live band.

The two of us meet at Bella Maria's to talk about an event that is going to be held on April 21st to help the seniors in our community.
