It was an exciting day in Roosevelt Park on Tuesday March 27th. Sport Clips opened it's doors right on Henry Street across from Meijer and with the opening comes some new excitement and some clean new looks in style for the guys in the area. Sport Clips has had a location out by the Lakes Mall for quite some time, but as the client base grew, it made sense to think about a second location in the Muskegon area and Roosevelt Park has been seeing quite a spike in new development and business openings lately. Combine that with the location close to area staples, high traffic and population to draw from it was a perfect fit for Sport Clips.
Stacey Patulski is the owner of both Muskegon locations, and if that name rings a bell, it's with good reason. He and his brother Jeff owned the Muskegon Lumberjacks for a few years. Stacey has had great success running his Sport Clips stores and credits a lot of his success to the community outreach that goes on outside the shop. They are heavily involved in supporting local athletics for kids. They like to be a part of community events and bring something fun and unique to the things they participate in and they work to find charitable organizations that they can help along the way as well using some of the assets they get from the corporate level to thank their customers for helping them, help causes. This first week, they are working to help No More Sidelines of Muskegon with a portion of every haircut going to help those kids and families.
If you've never been in a Sport Clips, well, it's the place with "Guy Smart Stylists". You get pampered while you relax for a few...a massaging shampoo...relaxing neck and shoulder treatment and finish it all off with a legendary hot steamed towel. NICE. No appointments are necessary, you can use their handy online check in to save a spot for ya and if you need more...you're immersed in sports everywhere you turn inside Sport Clips. It's a pretty great experience.
I was able to catch up with my long time friend, and new sponsor of The Muskegon Channel and Positively Muskegon to talk a little about the new place in Roosevelt Park and their philosophy about community involvement. Take a listen to our chat.
We're excited to welcome Sport Clips as a sponsor to The Muskegon Channel and Positively Muskegon. It's been great to work with Stacey and his team on a number of levels over the years and his commitment to Muskegon and it's people is from the heart. If you're a guy and you're looking for the MVP treatment when it comes to a new doo...stop in and see them at Sport Clips at their new location on Henry Street or if you are a traditionalist, you can always visit the shop out by The Lakes Mall as well. We wish them much success at both locations and say thanks again for helping us continue our work here!
