Today’s story is about the Central Park Players and how they are going to raise the money for the very much needed Grand Haven Community Center Acacia Auditorium stage floor. Central Park Players is a community theatre organization dedicated to providing high quality theatre at affordable prices to Grand Haven, Michigan and the Tri-Cities area since 1959. Vibrant, compelling, engaging theatre and community outreach are all part of CPP’s plans for the future. Central Park Players is proud to be an important Tri-Cities asset and continues to build on that solid foundation laid nearly 150 years ago.
Trudi Kerkstra, President of Central Park Players stopped in to the Coffee Factory in downtown Muskegon to chat with Gaberielle Butterfield about their upcoming fundraiser 80’s Prom. 80’s Prom will be held on February 8th at 7 pm is a ProFormance based on the class of 1989 Wanaget Highs Prom originally written by Ken Davenport. There will be spectator involvement as well.
This seems like it will be so much fun from the moment you enter the door to the end when the Prom is over. Yes, that right, after the show there is an 80’s themed Prom where you will be able to eat, drink (with 80’s themed cocktails) a photographer taking photos throughout the night, a Photobooth and so much more fun to be had. Trudi wanted to make sure that you knew it is highly recommended that all guests dress in appropriate 80’s themed attire.
This Show and after Prom is a 21 and over event and you will need to have a ticket. Tickets are $40 person or $75 couple, they also have VIP seating available as well.
