ORCHARD VIEW COMMUNITY EDUCATION
Orchard View Community Education was created in 1969 to provide services to the community. We offer adult education which include high school completion. GED, online learning and career tech. Our Preschool programs offer Head Start and great Start programming for our 3 and 4 year olds. Child Care serves 2 weeks to 6th grade in 3 locations. The childcare offers before and after school options and summer cardinal camp for school age children. Our travel program offers trips all across the United States and foreign countries. We offer enrichment opportunities that include dog obedience, dancing, sewing, karate, Supper with Santa and Easter Bunny Breakfast. We offer drivers education for students. Our senior citizens programs offer bingo, euchre, gather together dinner dances, fitness classes, foot care, tax preparation, Sew Sew ladies, wood carving and computer classes for seniors. We are proud to be a part of the Orchard View Community for over 50 years!
Pioneer Resources’ mission is to help seniors and individuals with disabilities attain independence and dignity by creating opportunities for participation in the community. Through the Muskegon County Senior Millage, we have been able to provide our services to a total participant count of 1,177 seniors and 107 events in the 2018-2019 fiscal year. Through the MCSM, Pioneer Resources provides: Eastern Muskegon County Recreation & Northern Muskegon County Recreation Meal Preparation Classes at Kitchen 242 Senior Speaker Series (Education and Entertainment) Senior Day Camp.
