OAM Muskegon and i’move – Growing! One Mishap at a Time – We Found Out the Hard Way

It’s a story that began in April of 2026.  What was once a comedic error and something Cindy and I would probably laugh our tails off at on America’s Funniest Home Videos over became a reality.  Trying to deflate a pool pillow that holds up the winter cover, Cindy slipped and fell backwards, trying to cushion the fall, she put her hands behind her to slow down the impact, and snap…her first broken bone.  We got to see just how Orthopaedic Associates of Muskegon handles things first hand.  This is a small piece of gratitude for their care in the entire process.

Audra Troccko is our guest today and she’s been the Project Manager behind the new location of OAM and i’move in Grand Haven.  It’s a stunning new facility with all of the modern equipment to make sure that when a fall or accident takes place, it can be fixed to the gold standard of care that you’ll find anywhere else in the world, right here on the Lakeshore.  The staff is huge.  There are countless providers, nurses and support staff from beginning to end of any incident.  From Ortho Urgent Care…yes, you can go right there if something happens when they are on duty…to the physical therapy you will most likely need when the cast or brace comes off, it’s truly a medical office dedicated to the while person and their healing.

The new spot in Grand Haven is equal to any of their care centers, it’s just the latest in their ever growing commitment to all of us.  So we picked this spot to showcase for the meet up.  Growth like this doesn’t happen for places that are not truly innovative in their care and commitment to the communities they serve and it’s seen from the minute you walk through the door until you are finally discharged.  Attention, detail and commitment in a very comfortable setting with people who are dedicated to understanding the spot in life where people are that have a break, sprain or tear.  We are so fortunate to have such a place here for us.

As it works out too, Cindy is just back from her therapy appointment at i’move in North Muskegon, we talked about it in the video….and she came home with the instructions that she’s to “stay in today, and do her therapy exercises and annoy me.”  They even know how to make physical therapy fun.  Our most sincere thanks to OAM!
