The word came down late on Thursday that the return of Wings Over Muskegon in 2026 would be FREE to those wishing to see the show in a general admission setting this year with the help of some incredibly generous sponsors.  There is a required reserved ticket to get, as the capacity is limited to 2000 cars a day for the show that runs Friday-Sunday, August 21-23.  You’ll find the link for those precious free tickets below.

The Wings Over Muskegon Airshow is a spectacular sight to see and the history of airshows in Muskegon is deep.  The original Muskegon Airfare began in 1984 and ran for 23 years.  It packed in tens of thousands annually with the excitement of the show in the skies and the up close and personal chance people got to see the planes, interact with those flying and most of all….meet elite members of the military who’d often visit in fighter jets or cargo planes.  It was an amazing run.  Today, a lot of the same is back, with an even more hands on experience for people with the association with the Michigan Flight Museum and Air Adventures.

The Michigan Air and Flight Museum is at the Willow Run Airport, but they come west for our weekend.  Ever dream of a ride in a Huey?  The classic helicopter you’ve always seen in the movies?  C-47?  The “Hairless Joe”?  Been in it myself.  It’s like a trip back in time.  The Michigan Air and Flight Museum brings them right over!  Add in flights of a Russian MIG.  The Warbirds Flight Team.  Mini Jets.  What’s an airshow without a jet truck?  It’s all there and it’s all free for general admission with your reserved ticket.

Food trucks, live music a relaxed and fun atmosphere with plenty of food and beverage to be had.  The warm hospitality that Muskegon brings and memories that are made for a lifetime.

YOU CANNOT GET IN THE DAY OF THE SHOW FREE WITHOUT AN ADVANCE TICKET.

You’ll also find great ticket options if you’d like to upgrade into some more amenity filled options.  They do have some all inclusive suites and packages available and this is also the perfect time to reserve your seats on a ride back through time on one of those legendary aircraft.  From the Michigan Air and Flight Museum Press Release – “With the support of our sponsors: Muskegon County Airport, Denver Air Connection, RENK, Accurate Excavators, Eagle Alloy, Lorin Industries, Machine Ethics, Executive Air Transport, C&S Companies, and Tyler Sales, we have an opportunity to share that experience with even more families.” A note to those who’ve bought tickets in advance – “Those who previously purchased General Admission Carload passes should have received an e-mail last night stating that they will be refunded their full purchase amount with and new free tickets will be issued for the applicable day.”

We are very pleased to be among those helping bring you the word that Muskegon fell under some very good, and very generous fortune for August 21-23rd this year.  Come on out and enjoy the summer Muskegon style.
