For the past 10 years the Burning Foot Beer Fest has been throwing a massive party on the beach at Pere Marquette in Muskegon. For those of you who’ve been to one (or more) of these parties you know what a great time it is. Now full disclosure…I am not a Beer drinker.
I went to the Festival for the festival, the music the food the people watching. As I walked around and found so many more beers than I knew existed, I actually discovered a few that I enjoyed. Dragons Milk is my go to Beer now and I’m pretty sure I used ALL my tickets on it. Unfortunately, holding a festival on the beach is very expensive. Moving things around and setting up in sand requires tractors and cranes to get the job done and they aren’t cheap. So what to do ? Stay on the beach and raise tickets prices (probably by a lot) ?
So for this year’s 11th Anniversary the festival is moving off the beach and into downtown Muskegon at Heritage Landing. The stage, the lawn, the point all will be used to bring you a one of a kind experience. I got the chance to sit down with Brenden Enders and discuss everything about this year’s event. What you’ll find when you get there is the same Festival you’ve always enjoyed with many “new” things as well. Park at the Mart Dock for $10, $5 of which goes to my friends at Noah Project. They are a “no kill” animal shelter doing great work here in the Muskegon area. There will be a shuttle from the parking lot than can take you right to the front gate.
Come dressed to impress in your finest “Pirate” gear and take part in the costume contest, you could win VIP tickets to next year’s party.
